Residential Services
GCASA's residential services include the Atwater Home Community Residence, a 24-hour, supervised, 17 bed residence and less structured supportive living apartments.
The Atwater Home Community Residence, located in Batavia, NY, provides a structured, chemical-free environment for men and women in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction.
Residential services provide treatment and support for mental, physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Staffing is provided twenty-four hours a day. Daily nutritional needs are met with three balanced meals per day. Facilities include shared bedrooms and bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry room. A seasonal screened in patio, covered bicycle rack and garage are available for residents use. Various levels of professional staffing include: Assistant Director of Residential Services, House Manager, Counselor, Kitchen Manager/Specialist, Maintenance/Transportation and Residence Aides. Supportive Living provides housing and support for adults in recovery. Five locations with a total of 24 beds throughout the community serve both males and females. The approximate length of stay is three months to two years. Supportive Living residents must be actively involved in treatment and engage in meaningful work, educational classes and/or regular volunteer work. Counselor support and limited tranportation is available to all residents. Genesee County residents are eligible for "Work Program" through a collaboration with Genesee County Department of Social Services.
